The theme here is: nourishing the body and our higher spiritual nature. This comments on how one should work to sustain society. Study how our fellows seek nourishment. One need only observe were people bestow care, to see what aspects of their nature they've developed. The superior person cultivates their higher nature, whereas the inferior person endlessly indulges themselves.

Expression of any kind is a movement from the interior to the outer world. Eating and drinking are movements from outside to the interior. Superiority of character can be cultivated by modifying both so as not to exceed due measure.

Leaders must encourage superior people so that through them care is provided for all the people. The body of society has important and unimportant parts. One should not injure important parts to benefit the unimportant.
