The theme is pain and wounding.

Imagine a wicked person in a position of authority. Instead of helping, they bring harm to able people instead. The correct attitude here is to be outwardly dutiful while steadfastly maintaining one’s inner light.

The perseverance one maintains within must not be displayed in one’s demeanour. To achieve this, one imposes censorship on oneself.

Don’t attract enmity through unconsidered behaviour. It’s no time for cleverness and one must let many things pass, while remembering their significance.
